Position Overview

SUMMARY: The role focuses on delivering financial solutions and services to cultivate, maintain, and enhance relationships with members of the credit union, aiming to meet sales objectives while ensuring outstanding member satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guides and informs members in establishing new deposit accounts, share certificates, and other services offered by the credit union.
  • Processes loan applications and prepares necessary documentation for consumer loans.
  • Conducts closing procedures for consumer loans and ensures compliance with all protocols.
  • Facilitates the opening of membership and deposit accounts, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Educates members on various consumer loan products available.
  • Proactively promotes credit union products and services to members.
  • Handles sales leads from vendors and internal channels effectively.
  • Processes and issues Instant Issue debit cards upon member request.
  • Acts as the primary contact for member inquiries and resolves concerns.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of credit union offerings, policies, and procedures.
  • Complies with all established credit union policies and guidelines.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Investigates and resolves discrepancies on member accounts.
  • Meets established sales performance standards.
  • Represents the credit union at various promotional and community events.
  • Tracks and reports sales performance metrics to the Service and Sales VP.
  • Supports marketing initiatives for the credit union and its services.
  • Assists in the operational management of the Service Center.
  • Provides support in balancing activities, cash handling, and deposit processing.
  • Contributes to the training of new Member Services Representatives.
  • Participates in weekend coverage at the Service Center on a rotating schedule.
  • Fulfills receptionist responsibilities as needed during weekend operations.
  • Travels to various Service Centers to provide assistance as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED), Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS) Certification.
  • Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Required Experience: Minimum of one (1) year in customer service or retail sales.
  • Preferred Experience: At least two (2) years in customer service or retail sales within a financial institution.
