Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Color Sorter to join our team at Aerotek. As a Color Sorter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our advanced equipment and maintaining the highest standards of product quality and facility sanitation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain electronic eyes and sizing system equipment to separate damaged products and foreign materials, ensuring APSA grade standards.
  • Oversee and maintain equipment used for sizing, conveying, and cleaning shelled peanuts in shelling and blanching plants.
  • Ensure the sanitation of the entire facility as needed.
  • Perform extensive climbing and lifting tasks.
  • Disassemble and reassemble components within electronic eyes, including ejectors, lamps, and control boards.
  • Complete various daily tasks, including communicating with colleagues about equipment operations, flow rate changes, processing capabilities, safety and maintenance issues, paperwork, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
Required Skills
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining electronic eyes and sizing system equipment.
  • Skilled in disassembling and reassembling equipment (ejectors, lamps, control boards).
  • Experienced in sanitation and cleaning of equipment and facilities.
Work Environment
  • This is a fully on-site position located in Smithville, Georgia.
  • Non-climate controlled environment.
