Physician - Family Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Physician to join our team at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Richland, Michigan. As a Family Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills
- Coordinate discharge planning with case management
- Recommend and participate in efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients
- Accept patient referrals from other physicians and act as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization
- Participate in academic programs, such as medical education and research, as requested
- Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements and appeal all denials in a timely manner
- Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, including on-call schedules
- Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board of Medicine
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
