Histology Supervisor in North Carolina

We are looking for a highly qualified Histology Supervisor to join our healthcare team in Charlotte, North Carolina.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will oversee the histology department, assist with training, scheduling, budgeting, and ensure high standards of quality control and quality assurance in all laboratory procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Staff Supervision: Oversee and mentor histotechnologists, histology technicians, and support staff, schedule and assign tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and provide training and professional development opportunities.
- Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure high standards of quality control and quality assurance in all laboratory procedures, develop, implement, and monitor protocols for tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
- Operational Management: Manage day-to-day laboratory operations, including sample accessioning, processing, and documentation, maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including those set by OSHA, CLIA, CAP, and other relevant agencies, prepare and maintain documentation for inspections and audits.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Science.
- ASCP certification or equivalent.
- Strong laboratory skills and attention to detail.
- Histology experience.
- Histology leadership experience preferred.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements.
