Job Overview

The Facilities Manager will oversee the maintenance, supervision, and management of plant facilities and facility departments. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and problem-solving abilities to ensure the smooth operation of facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate maintenance inspections and repairs to prevent downtime and minimize costs.
  • Purchase necessary materials and spare parts for plant facilities.
  • Evaluate, coordinate, and oversee renovation projects, expansions, or upgrades to facilities.
  • Manage corrective and preventative maintenance of building systems, manufacturing equipment, and grounds.
  • Help optimize space utilization within the facility.
  • Oversee contracts with external vendors for services such as cleaning, security, and landscaping.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed during facilities work.
  • Develop emergency response plans.
  • Manage the facilities budget, including maintenance, repairs, and capital expenses.
  • Communicate project status using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Track and report facility-related KPIs.

Requirements
  • Two years' experience in all phases of building maintenance.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous supervisor/management experience desired.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and keep detailed records.
  • Understanding of building systems, maintenance procedures, and relevant building codes.
