Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Emergency Medicine at Yale New Haven Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with attending physicians to deliver high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Responsibilities- Clinical Care: Provide assessment, triage, and therapeutic management of patient needs, working in collaboration with attending physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Education and Psychosocial Support: Educate patients and families on care and recommended resources, providing psychosocial support in a caring and professional manner.
- Information Management: Ensure accurate and timely documentation, protecting patient information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Quality Management: Demonstrate a high standard of professionalism, compassion, and commitment to patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development, maintaining and advancing clinical competency, and serving as a clinical resource for new staff members.
We require a graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program, with a strong clinical background and excellent communication skills. Preference is given to candidates with experience in Emergency Medicine, but new graduates are also welcome to apply. Licensure and certification requirements include active PA Certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), Connecticut State Physician Assistant License, ACLS/BLS Certification, and DEA License (when indicated). Additional licensure and certifications may be required based on position and specialty.
