Job Title: Electrical Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various clients.

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with project design teams and customers to provide electrical system and equipment design services
* Develop and draft basis of design reports
* Perform short circuit, load flow, voltage drop, and arc flash calculations
* Provide technical, communication, and leadership skills necessary to effectively present findings and integrated solutions to the customer
* Prepare detailed specifications, contract drawings, and contractor bid packages

Requirements:

* BS in Electrical Engineering or closely related Engineering Degree
* Working on obtaining EIT/PE license
* 5+ years electrical design experience of Electrical systems for industrial municipal, educational, pharmaceutical, healthcare or manufacturing facilities
* Experience coordinated designs with equipment vendors
* Experience with wire/conduit sizing
* Familiarity with standards including: NEC, NYC Building Codes, Energy Codes, NFPA Recommended Standards, ConEdison Installation Standards/Blue Book
* Design experience in single line diagrams
* Strong communication and organizational skills
