As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatment, and consultations. You will work collaboratively with physicians and nurses to ensure continuity of patient care in various settings. Your expertise in integrative or functional medicine will enable you to serve as an educator, case manager, and consultant to staff and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides clinical care for patients
Completes comprehensive patient assessments
Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness
Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician
Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment
Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care
Refers for specialty care when determined
Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Nurse Practitioner scope of practice, diagnosis, or treatment plan is unclear
Requirements:
Master's degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Minimum 2 years of experience in Integrative Medicine or Functional Medicine
Minimum of 2 years of experience providing Integrative Medicine or Functional Medicine consultations
Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire
Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) required Certification within specialty upon hire
ACLS-BLS Tier - Multisource required within 180 Days
Drug Enforcement Administration upon hire required
Physical Demands:
Medium Work: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally, Up to 25 lbs. frequently
