Position Overview:
We are in search of a highly qualified and experienced Cloud Solutions Architect to join our dynamic workforce. The Cloud Solutions Architect will be accountable for designing, implementing, and overseeing cloud-based solutions, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of security, performance, and scalability. This role necessitates a profound understanding of cloud computing technologies, particularly Microsoft Azure, along with a proven history of architecting intricate cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Architecture:
    Develop and architect cloud-based solutions tailored to meet business requirements. Create architectural diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications. Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices.
  • Implementation:
    Lead the deployment of cloud solutions, including virtual networks, virtual machines, databases, and additional services. Supervise the transition of existing on-premises applications to the cloud. Automate deployment and configuration processes using ARM templates, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
  • Management and Optimization:
    Oversee and monitor cloud resources to guarantee optimal performance. Implement and maintain cost management and optimization strategies. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery configurations are established.
  • Security and Compliance:
    Design and implement security protocols to safeguard data and applications. Ensure solutions comply with applicable regulations and standards. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    Work closely with development teams, providing guidance and support for cloud-related projects. Collaborate with other architects and engineers to develop comprehensive solutions. Offer technical support and troubleshooting for cloud environments.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Stay updated with the latest cloud services, technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in architecture and processes. Mentor and train junior team members on cloud technologies and best practices.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud computing with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.

Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud services including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI.
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Git).
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
