Host/Hostess Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and welcoming Host/Hostess to join our team at Keke's Cafe in Sunnyvale. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and will be responsible for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and greet guests upon arrival, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
  • Manage and utilize the reservation system to organize seating arrangements and waitlists, notifying guests of wait-times and when tables are ready.
  • Escort guests to their tables with menus and silverware wraps, ensuring a smooth and efficient dining experience.
  • Accommodate special seating requests whenever possible, balancing customer flow in service sections.
  • Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return, fostering a positive and loyal customer base.
Requirements:
  • No prior restaurant experience is required, but a fun and upbeat personality is essential.
  • Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Current, valid California food handlers card.
