Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

TERI, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and caring Licensed Vocational Nurse to coordinate the medical needs of adults enrolled in our Residential and Day Program Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first aid, monitoring individuals with ongoing medical needs, and providing training to direct care staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Protect clients' rights, health, safety, and welfare at all times.
  • Assess the wellness/health of clients and students and follow up on any issues related to health.
  • Provide first aid medical treatment; oversee others' provision of first aid medical treatment; deliver/oversee provision of medical treatments related to medical conditions.
  • Assist clients to obtain medical care and treatment, including functioning as the primary liaison with families, providers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Deliver, or oversee delivery of, individual health care plans for clients who have ongoing medical needs.
  • Observe, train, and assess direct support staff and other teaching staff.
  • Observe and assess infection control procedures in compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Perform liaison duties with TERI, Inc. Registered Nurses to maintain good communication relative to student or client needs.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal licensing regulations.
  • Oversee inventory and maintenance of supplies for first aid and other health-related needs.
  • Maintain health-related files for clients enrolled in Residential Services.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required, Current LVN License.
  • Experience with people with developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to lift and transfer people when needed.
  • California Driver's license and good driving history.
  • Willingness to complete a drug test.
