We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in Lakeland, TN. The ideal candidate will possess robust design and project management expertise, and will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing project management and engineering design for civil engineering initiatives.
  • Managing all phases of various civil engineering projects, including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, design review, and coordination of construction documents.
  • Coordinating project teams to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in construction documentation and during the construction administration phase.
  • Engaging with clients, regulatory bodies, and agencies to foster strong professional relationships.
  • Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, financial records, client correspondence, and project schedules.
  • Preparing and ensuring the accuracy of technical documents through Quality Assurance reviews at various project stages.
  • Exhibiting proven leadership skills and possessing excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Participating in planning, cost management, and scheduling for assigned projects.
  • Contributing to marketing and business development efforts, including the creation of project proposals and offering technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Engineer, with a strong preference for licensure in Tennessee.
  • Ability to obtain professional engineering registration in multiple states.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a civil engineer.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally and build lasting interpersonal relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience in client interaction and team leadership.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation; skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
