We are seeking an experienced Permanent Optometrist to join our team at Jobot. As a key member of our ophthalmologist team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye and vision tests to detect vision conditions and eye diseases.
  • Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and eye diseases, such as glaucoma.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.
  • Provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
  • Provide pre-and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgery.
  • Educate patients about proper eye care techniques.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals and make referrals when necessary.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure their confidentiality.
  • Work with the finance team to understand and apply insurance and billing procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed to practice optometry in the state.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working as an optometrist.
  • Proven experience in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex medical conditions and treatments in a clear and understandable way.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism and adherence to all ethical standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and healthcare software.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the field of optometry.
