Job Responsibilities:

The Custodial Services position is essential for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. This includes various properties under our care, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all activities.

Key Duties Include:

  • Interior cleaning tasks such as stripping, waxing, sealing, and buffing floors.
  • Vacuuming and shampooing carpets.
  • Dusting and polishing furniture and woodwork.
  • Cleaning restrooms, windows, light fixtures, and other surfaces.
  • Maintaining the exterior grounds, including lawn care and landscaping.
  • Removing debris, snow, and ice from walkways and driveways.
  • Assisting with event setups and program activities.
  • Transporting vehicles for maintenance and ensuring they are up to date with registrations.
  • Supporting food pantry operations by coordinating pickups and deliveries.

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Handyman or tradesman skills are preferred.
  • Familiarity with cleaning supplies and equipment, with a willingness to learn effective cleaning techniques.
  • Experience operating manual and power tools safely.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License that meets organizational insurance criteria.
  • Capability to operate a 12-passenger van.
