About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Echo Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team at Cayuga Health System. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for performing advanced cardiac ultrasounds and analyzing patient data to provide comprehensive diagnostic information.


The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in diagnostic medical sonography and experience with ultrasound equipment. They will also possess excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests
  • Analyze patient history and identify examination purposes, frame clinical questions, and expand the examination as needed
  • Notify cardiologists of urgent pathologies observed during cardiovascular exams

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Certification from ARDMS or CCI required within six months of hire date
  • 1+ year of experience in a certified echocardiography laboratory preferred
