Mittera is seeking a skilled Roll Tender to join our team in the pressroom. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient production by maintaining an appropriate supply of roll paper stock to the press and performing other pressroom duties as assigned.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Verify roll inventory number against job ticket
  • Record roll numbers and weight on roll log sheet
  • Move rolls into position and hang rolls in splicer
  • Check oil levels in units and overflow pans; dump and clean as needed
  • Hang plates on the press
  • Assist team with make readies or web breaks
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Requirements:


  • 3 years of previous press experience preferred
  • Ability to use basic math skills
  • Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in stressful situations and meet stringent deadlines
  • Has basic computer skills
  • Must be self-motivated, reliable, and quality, safety oriented
