As a critical member of our project, you'll contribute to the visual and aesthetic direction of our games, working closely with the Game Director and other key project leaders. Your expertise in 3D programs, industry-standard engines, and art direction will help shape the look and feel of our projects.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Game Director and project leaders to define and build out the visual direction of our projects.
* Develop and maintain a strong brand identity, working with the Product and Marketing teams.
* Create high-quality artwork, including concept art, character models, environments, and VFX.
* Lead and mentor junior artists, providing guidance and training.
* Participate in playtesting and provide feedback on gameplay.
* Deliver content according to project schedules and deadlines.
Requirements:
* 8+ years of industry experience as a game artist with AD experience.
* Strong understanding of anatomy, storytelling, lighting, composition, perspective, and color theory.
* Experience with 3D applications, such as ZBrush, 3DSMax, Maya, Substance Designer, and/or other game production tools.
* Strong foundational art skills and a keen eye for consistency and quality.
* Ability to create in a wide variety of styles, themes, and genres.
* Strong communication and organizational skills.
* Self-direction, passion, and creativity in your work.
* Receptiveness to feedback and ability to act on direct critique.
Big Plusses:
* Experience with UI and graphic design.
* Ability to storyboard.
* Prototyping experience in an artist capacity.
We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including a salary range of $100,000-$150,000 per year, annual bonuses, health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and flexible time-off benefits.
