Production Control Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Production Control Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This role will be responsible for ensuring customer orders and realistic delivery commitments are met. The ideal candidate will have experience in generating work orders, compiling and recording production data, and reporting on volume of production, consumption of material, quality control, and other aspects of production.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of ladings, packing slips, and tags for shipments
• Enter data into databases and print EDI reports
• Ensure timely delivery of ASN and update daily shipping information
• Receive steel shipments and prepare tags
• Prepare miscellaneous shipments as needed
• Cross-check trucking invoices
• Effectively communicate with customers to understand and facilitate their product demands
• Accurately help create daily shipping schedules to enable Production Control to report monthly production results and inventory balances
• Develop material releases and help track and order shipment supplies
• Verify all shipping information to ensure accuracy
• Proactively address and correct all unsafe behaviors and conditions
• Enter Inspection Reports daily

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in production control or a related field
• Experience with inventory management, supply chain, and materials management
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
