Position Overview:
A qualified Psychiatrist is sought to become part of a locum practice in Pennsylvania. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to mental health care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will engage in various essential tasks, including:
- Participating in treatment team meetings
- Completing treatment plans and daily progress notes
- Conducting History and Physicals (H&Ps) for new admissions
- Managing medication for patients
- Collaborating with social workers on discharge planning
- Engaging in virtual mental health court sessions twice weekly
Work Schedule:
This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 AM to 4 PM, with potential opportunities for weeknight and weekend on-call coverage, though this is encouraged but not mandatory.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be Board Certified by ABMS or Truly Board Eligible within five years of completing residency. A valid Pennsylvania medical license is required. A clean background with no malpractice history is preferred.
