Job Summary:

Shipyard Staffing LLC is seeking a skilled Tig Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with GTAW - CUNI, CS, and CRES, and be proficient in reading blueprints and technical manuals. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented and outgoing individual to work in a fast-paced environment with ongoing deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals to weld metals
  • Perform comprehensive torch and weld work
  • Use radius gage and hand power tools
  • Work in open-air conditions and confined spaces
  • Meet deadlines and work independently

Requirements:
  • Ability to comprehend and utilize blueprints, sketches, drawings, and technical manuals
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation
  • Ability to weld metal using various requirements and procedures
  • RAPID Gate/DBIDS and TWIX credential eligibility

Working Conditions:
  • Open-air conditions with noise, heat, and cold
  • Confined spaces and scaffolding
  • Proper PPE required
