We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team at Simmons Foods. As a Sanitation Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our processing areas and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Cleaning and Sanitizing Equipment and Work Areas: Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas using handheld high-pressure cleaning hoses and equipment, brooms, squeegees, or hands.
- Ensuring Quality Standards: Ensure that equipment and work areas are cleaned in a manner consistent with established requirements.
- Meeting Time Constraints: Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment according to established time constraints and quality standards to allow production to begin on time.
- Following Safety Guidelines: Follow guidelines for proper use and safety of chemicals and equipment.
As a member of our team, you will participate in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies. You will coordinate work to ensure Best Practices with all team members, attend team meetings, and foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues.
Simmons Operating Systems Principles and ObjectivesYou will be familiar with Simmons' established operating systems, including quality, security, office environment, and company policies. You will understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with these systems and your role in support of these systems, including considering the impact of individual actions on the systems and communicating concerns and improvement ideas.
Physical Demands and Personal Protective EquipmentThis position requires the ability to efficiently work in a plant environment, standing, reaching, and moving about the facility. You will regularly be required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment or supplies, work in temperature extremes, and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed or required.
