Job SummaryThe U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled Recreation Fee Clerk to join our team. As a Recreation Fee Clerk, you will be responsible for handling and accounting for money, operating electronic cash registers, and performing various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Handle, collect, and account for money
- Operate electronic cash registers, computers, and Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Perform administrative tasks, such as inventory management and supply ordering
- Assist with auditing fee collection program components and systems
- Prepare and complete remittance reports and bank deposits
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies and errors
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
- Males must meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement
- Ability to handle, collect, and account for money
- Ability to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or shift work
To qualify for this position, you must possess one of the following:
- One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that demonstrates ability to acquire knowledge and skills needed to perform duties of Recreation Fee Clerk
- Two years of education above high school leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Equivalent combination of experience and education that, together, equal 100% of qualification standards listed above
To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
