Job Summary

The U.S. Department of the Interior is seeking a highly skilled Recreation Fee Clerk to join our team. As a Recreation Fee Clerk, you will be responsible for handling and accounting for money, operating electronic cash registers, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle, collect, and account for money
  • Operate electronic cash registers, computers, and Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as inventory management and supply ordering
  • Assist with auditing fee collection program components and systems
  • Prepare and complete remittance reports and bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies and errors
Requirements
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Appointment subject to background investigation and favorable adjudication
  • Males must meet Selective Service Registration Act requirement
  • Ability to handle, collect, and account for money
  • Ability to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and/or shift work
Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must possess one of the following:

  • One year of progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that demonstrates ability to acquire knowledge and skills needed to perform duties of Recreation Fee Clerk
  • Two years of education above high school leading to a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Equivalent combination of experience and education that, together, equal 100% of qualification standards listed above
Education

To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking.
