Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our pharmacy, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with patients.

Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will assist in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and checking for potential interactions. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing prescriptions, and handling customer inquiries.

Our pharmacy technician training program is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to become a certified pharmacy technician and advance your career in the pharmacy care industry.

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, interacting with customers and patients from diverse backgrounds. You will be part of a team that is dedicated to providing exceptional service and care to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including filling prescriptions, verifying medication, and checking for potential interactions.
  • Maintain accurate records, process prescriptions, and handle customer inquiries.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, providing exceptional service and care to customers.
  • Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, providing personalized service and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy technology and procedures, participating in ongoing training and education.

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
