Job Title: Telemetry Transporter

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center that values collaboration and innovation. As a Telemetry Transporter, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients throughout the medical complex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to various locations within the medical complex, utilizing safe and efficient techniques to minimize patient risk.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation, and notify nursing staff of any changes or concerns.
  • Assist with patient movement, including transferring patients from bed to wheelchair or stretcher, and provide minor patient care duties while in transit.
  • Transport deceased patients to the hospital morgue, maintaining confidentiality and respect for the deceased and their families.
  • Update transport tracking systems to ensure accurate location and times associated with patient transports.

Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania or National EMT certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Completion of the UPHS Telemetry Transporter Training Program
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience in patient transport or a related field
