About the Role:

City Wide Facility Solutions is a leading provider of facility management services, and we are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general facility repairs, preventive maintenance, and minor construction projects at our managed buildings throughout Central Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Paint and fill gaps or crevices on walls, sidewalks, and other surfaces.
  • Undertake light installation or carpentry projects, such as building cabinets and shelves.
  • Repair equipment and appliances, and perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks and filling gaps on walls.
  • Install appliances and equipment, and inspect areas to identify potential maintenance needs.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, and finishing with a coat of paint.
  • Replace light fixtures and ballasts, and perform other minor electrical work.
  • Drywall repair and furniture assembly.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician, with experience working with hardware tools and electrical equipment.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
  • Basic math skills and good communication ability.
  • Well-organized and good problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
  • Aptitude in using appropriate tools, such as brushes and caulk guns.
  • Must possess a vehicle and basic hand and power tools.
