Job Overview

At Primrose School of North Meridian, we're seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and care for a group of children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedules, using the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Plan and participate in parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
  • Provide clear expectations and positive reinforcement to promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive environment for all children and staff.
Qualifications
  • Meet the basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agencies.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and respond to emergency situations.

  • Set schedule (7:00am-4:00pm, 7:30am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5:30pm, or 9:00am-6:00pm) Monday-Friday.
