Position Summary: Responsible for the installation of piping systems for stormwater management, sewage disposal, and water distribution. Duties include grading trenches, positioning pipes, and sealing joints while adhering to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize tools such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels for precise installation.
  • Install and maintain sewer structures and piping systems for both sanitary and stormwater applications.
  • Connect and seal pipe sections using appropriate methods including welding, cementing, or gluing.
  • Verify slopes and alignments to meet project specifications using levels or lasers.
  • Cut pipes to specified lengths as required.
  • Ensure proper alignment and positioning of pipes in preparation for welding or sealing.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Contribute to team efforts to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to team members through sharing of expertise.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to navigate a construction site, including climbing and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Safety Compliance: Must be knowledgeable about and adhere to the company's safety protocols as outlined in the safety manual.

Education: Less than a High School Diploma.

Experience: Preferred three or more years of relevant construction experience.

Physical Demands: Requires heavy physical activity and the ability to perform strenuous tasks.

Manual Skills: Sufficient dexterity to handle tools and materials effectively.

Work Environment: Primarily outdoor work with exposure to various weather conditions.
