Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, inspecting and maintaining equipment, and assisting customers with their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers
  • Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Assist customers with their equipment needs, including rentals and returns
  • Use smartphone-based technology to manage rentals and inventory
  • Move and hook up equipment, including trucks and trailers
  • Clean and inspect equipment on the lot
  • Answer questions and educate customers on products and services
  • Prepare rental invoices and accept equipment returns
  • Install hitches and trailer wiring
  • Fill propane and drive a forklift (certification offered through U-Haul)
  • Participate in ongoing continuous education through U-Haul University
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of remaining stationary, moving around indoors and outdoors, positioning oneself to reach objects at varying heights and moving equipment weighing a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
