Sunflower Development Center, a prominent naturalistic Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) agency in Bristol County, is looking for a Part-Time Communication Specialist to join our innovative team.

Position Overview:

As a Communication Specialist at Sunflower Development Center, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive speech and language services to individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Working alongside a multidisciplinary team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), and other professionals, you will help in crafting and executing personalized treatment plans tailored to meet the communication needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate speech and language capabilities.
  2. Design and implement individualized treatment strategies based on assessment results.
  3. Collaborate with the ABA team to incorporate speech and language objectives into behavior intervention plans.
  4. Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to clients in both individual and group formats.
  5. Track progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  6. Engage effectively with parents, caregivers, and team members to ensure coordinated and consistent care.

Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  2. Current licensure to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Massachusetts.
  3. ASHA certification (CCC-SLP).
  4. Experience with individuals with autism or related developmental disorders is preferred.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule:

Flexible schedule available, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 5:30 pm.
