At Grace Federal Solutions LLC, we're looking for an experienced CT Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare services company, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to our mission.
About the JobThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a skilled professional to leverage their expertise in Computerized Tomography (CT) imaging to acquire and analyze diagnostic data. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting procedures and tests using CT equipment, obtaining images per protocols, manipulating images according to protocols, performing multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and selecting appropriate window and level setting according to anatomy.
Key Responsibilities:- Conducts procedures and tests using Computerized Tomography (CT) equipment to acquire and analyze patient diagnostic data.
- Patient Identification- Verifies patient identification, asks and documents pregnancy status on patients of child bearing age, uses professional manners and methods, obtains patient history, assists patients and family members that require extra attention, ensures patient understanding whenever possible, and insures patient safety.
- CT Scans- Obtains images per protocols, manipulates images according to protocols, performs multi-planar and 3D reconstruction of image data, demonstrates a thorough knowledge of CT algorithms, and selects appropriate window and level setting according to anatomy.
- Contrast- Administers oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to protocols, establishes intravenous lines, administers IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures, follows correct procedure to determine contrast eligibility, checks appropriate lab values before contrast injection per protocol.
- Image Transfer- Maintains thorough understanding of PACS, transmits images to QC, EMR, EPIC and PACS, verifies and segments images at the QC station, accesses IMPAX service tools to verify images transmission, completes, modifies and/or cancels orders in an appropriate and timely manner, cancels duplicate orders to avoid duplicate billing. Ensures that all charge information is accurate. Verifies patient identification in accordance with policy, insures that all appropriate demographic information is accurate and on the PACS images.
To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Prior education, training and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
- Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science.
- Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Requires advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
- Maintains current competency in HCP BLS.
We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off.
