Position Summary: Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Electrical Project Engineer to enhance their team in Chattanooga, TN. This position is perfect for individuals with substantial experience in managing large-scale industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will interpret client specifications and execute various engineering calculations, including voltage drop assessments. Responsibilities also include developing Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), designing control panels, and engaging in comprehensive project management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Convert client specifications into precise technical documentation.
  • Conduct electrical calculations and produce P&ID for project needs.
  • Design control systems and panels for large industrial machinery.
  • Oversee projects from initial concept to final execution.
  • Collaborate with clients, ensuring outstanding service and communication.
  • Supervise part and service technicians, including occasional site visits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with NFPA standards and P&ID.
  • Experience in Class 1 Div 2 environments (explosive atmospheres).
  • Knowledge of 3-phase control systems and prior control panel experience.
  • Proficiency with PLC, VFD, and soft starters.
  • Strong project management capabilities, including effective communication, humility, and a positive outlook.
