Job Summary:

The Aqua Instructor role at In Shape Solutions is a dynamic opportunity to inspire individuals to adopt a holistic approach to fitness. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating engaging and impactful workout experiences through our group fitness and recreational sports programs. Your primary goal will be to motivate members to explore multiple group fitness classes, recreational sports programs, and club amenities to enhance their fitness journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Motivate members to explore various group fitness classes and recreational sports programs
• Promote and participate in club events to encourage member engagement
• Connect with members through welcoming and approachable interactions, teaching authentically, and providing genuine praise
• Validate member access to paid programming
• Deliver motivating instructional experiences in every class, providing solid cuing, a seamless class flow, and various modifications to ensure every member feels successful
• Provide instruction on correct form and technique to ensure members are safe and benefit from each exercise
• Demonstrate workout as a role model, showcasing proper form, technique, and equipment usage
• Assist in building a community and promoting a sense of belonging among members
• Ensure members develop along a pathway that encourages continued involvement in multiple programs within the club
• Follow procedures for equipment usage, storage, and maintenance
• Teach all assigned classes and find class substitutions when needed
• Complete assigned trainings and key tasks on time
• Provide a safe and well-maintained environment through correct implementation of safety and operating policies and procedures
• Coach others and be open to being coached for professional growth
• Resolve concerns and problems to ensure member needs are met and company guidelines are followed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Certifications required, including national certification for fitness classes and sports classes/clinics
• Strong motivational skills, ability to work independently, and flexibility to work a variety of shifts
• Trustline registration to coach children, current CPR certification, or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
• Bilingual skills a plus
