Job Summary:

The Assistant Nurse Manager will provide support to the Nurse Manager and assume full oversight and responsibilities for the assigned unit/s in the absence of the Nurse Manager. This role requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and motivate a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff
  • Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Manage and coordinate unit operations
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in acute care nursing
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License
  • American Heart Association CPR Certification
  • ACLS certification within 6 months (if applicable)
