Boiler Operator

We are seeking a skilled Boiler Operator to join our team at a leading food manufacturing company. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our boilers and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on boilers and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Validate boiler performance and manage operations to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on all equipment in the facility to promote efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Repair and maintain facility, grounds, and equipment as needed.
- Assist mechanics and electricians on specific projects and other duties of the maintenance department.
- Evaluate needed repairs and compare costs with potential outside services to determine the most cost-effective method of repair.
- Read and interpret schematics and diagrams to accurately troubleshoot electrical, wiring, hydraulic, pneumatic, and piping systems.
- Set up and operate machine tools to repair or fabricate machine parts and fixtures, and tools.
- Install and repair electrical apparatus, including electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to support the maintenance function, including review, execution, and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work daily.
- Maintain a clean work environment to comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and housekeeping policies.
- Active Boilers License required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution and one of the following:
- Two-year associate degree or higher in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, electro-mechanical, controls and automation, etc.).
- Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- Previous experience reading blueprints and schematics.
- Previous experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Previous experience with power transmission components; belt drives, chain drives, bearings, motors & gears.
