Ask IT Consulting is seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team on a day shift schedule. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing patient care in accordance with established standards and protocols
  • Adhering to onboarding requirements, including Identogo Fingerprinting and Infocubic Background Verifications
  • Maintaining competency in areas such as patient assessment, crisis intervention, and medication management

Requirements:

We are offering a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.

Competency Requirements:

  • Ability to Work Independently: 4-6 years of experience in mental health nursing
  • Accuracy: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Active Listening: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Ability to assess and provide care for patients' daily needs
  • Analytical Skills: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Basic Patient Care: Proficiency in providing routine patient care
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze situations and make sound decisions
  • Handling Difficult Personalities: Experience working with challenging patients and families
  • Interdisciplinary Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare teams
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Judgment and Decision Making: Ability to make sound judgments and decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Knowledge of Chain of Command: Understanding of organizational structure and reporting procedures
  • Knowledge of HIPAA: Compliance with federal regulations regarding patient confidentiality
  • Knowledge of Scope of Practice: Familiarity with state and national guidelines governing nursing practice
  • Maintaining Quality Control Standards: Commitment to excellence in patient care and services
  • Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • PACU Experience: Preference given to candidates with post-anesthesia care unit experience
  • Positive Attitude: Demonstrated enthusiasm and commitment to delivering quality patient care
  • Problem Solving: Ability to think critically and develop effective solutions
  • Professionalism: Maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions
  • Wound Care Certified: Certification in wound care management preferred but not required
