Automotive Refinisher

The Automotive Painter is a key member of our team at Alien Car Care, responsible for delivering exceptional cosmetic repairs and refinishing services to our customers.

• Prepare, repair, and paint a variety of vehicles to the highest standards.
• Perform minor bodywork and surface preparation for paint, ensuring a smooth finish.
• Remove and install parts as necessary, using precision and care.
• Develop a strong understanding of BASF and/or PPG paint systems, and apply this knowledge to achieve precise color matching and proper mixing of paints.
• Formulate all refinish coatings, including primers, base coats, and clear coats, with attention to detail and quality.
• Visually inspect clear coat imperfections and correct them with ease.
• Blend paint to achieve seamless color transitions, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Ensure quality and efficiency in repairs, meeting customer expectations and company standards.
• Problem-solve and correct paint imperfections, using critical thinking and creativity.
• Manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and management, providing updates and feedback.
• Operate a range of equipment, including sanders, sanding blocks, spray guns, paint mixers, and paint scales.
• Perform basic math calculations for mixing paint, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Deliver a quality repair that meets customer expectations, and ensure a smooth handover to the customer.

• Industry-relevant experience and a strong understanding of company services.
• Excellent vision, including near, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
• A willingness to work as part of a team, and represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
• A current driver's license with a clean record, and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
• A working cell phone with voicemail setup, and a commitment to being drug-free.
