Job Summary:

Vaco is seeking an experienced Info Security Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security technologies, conducting security assessments, and developing security roadmaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of the Security Program Roadmap, identifying organizational risks, threats, and compliance requirements.
• Design and implement security solutions, including identifying potential security technologies and researching their capabilities.
• Assist with threat management, understanding security threats and their risk to the organization, and contributing to the research of new and existing security threats.
• Establish and maintain self-audits, policies, and procedures to ensure information security strategies align with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required.
• 3+ years' experience in an Information Security role with responsibilities in assessing application and infrastructure architectures for security threats and vulnerabilities, strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with security infrastructures, solid foundational understanding of networking concepts, and professional security management certification, such as CISSP, GISP, or CompTIA Security+, highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with common information security management frameworks and best practices, specifically NIST frameworks and CIS Critical Security Controls, highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years' experience in a Senior level network/systems role with a strong focus on Security, required.
• Experience implementing security concepts with at least one major IaaS vendor is preferred.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills, strong conceptual thinking and communication skills, and ability to translate medium complexity business and technical requirements into effective solutions.
