About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. As an OTA, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide comprehensive treatment plans for patients in various settings, including homecare, sub-acute, long-term care, outpatient, hospital, and assisted living facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist, following established treatment protocols and state guidelines.
  • Assist in identifying suitable patients for rehabilitation programs and referring them to our services as needed.
  • Accurately document patient progress and participation in daily therapy sessions, ensuring timely completion of progress notes and obtaining co-signatures from supervising occupational therapists.
  • Obtain and manage medical orders, re-certifications, and discharges according to state regulations and facility policies.

To be considered for this role, you must have a recognized degree in Occupational Therapy, NBCOT certification as a COTA (if required by the state), and a current license or registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in-state as applicable.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited college with a BA or associate degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
  • COTA holds a current license and/or registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in-state as applicable.
