Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech/Language Pathologist to join our team at Fredericktown Local School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing speech and language pathology services to students, collaborating with staff to implement therapy procedures, and maintaining accurate records of student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and assist with special educational instructional processes to ensure program activities are related to program outcomes.
  • Hold meetings with staff members to facilitate communication and evaluate instruction.
  • Screen children for speech/language problems and perform assessments as required.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement therapy procedures that improve student performance.
  • Maintain and use diagnostic data and student records to determine progress toward achieving goals and objectives.
  • Take initiative in IEP development and implement instruction at appropriate levels.
  • Conduct therapy with appropriate selection of activities, maintaining focus and pacing.
  • Guide students' remediation processes toward achieving goals and objectives.
  • Provide clear and timely information to parents and colleagues regarding classroom expectations and student progress.
  • Identify possible referrals for support services based on diagnostic/evaluative data.

Requirements:

  • Speech Pathologist certification/licensure
  • Demonstrated management and instructional skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism in appearance, manner, and attitude

Working Conditions:
