Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Marriott International is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our Global Wide Area Network (GWAN) Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing secure network services and solutions that ensure the best experience possible for Marriott Associates, contractors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement WAN, LAN, and datacenter networks with a focus on mission-critical, customer-facing applications and services.
  • Technical knowledge in networking (Cisco and non-Cisco) with an emphasis on software defined networking (SDN), firewalls, DNS, NTP, Network Tools and Management as well as common routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc) deployed across large global networks.
  • Experience designing and delivering networking services in public clouds such as AWS, Azure, AliCloud, GCP, OCI, etc.
  • Experience designing and delivering WAN connectivity to public clouds utilizing CSP native connect solutions as well as other service offerings to create the underlay WAN fabric for the network.
  • Ability to work non-standard hours during change implementations and service restoration efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field experience/certification.
  • 7+ years' experience as a Network Engineer with 7 or more years in a hands-on role implementing engineering standards, documenting engineering designs, and participating in project cutovers.
  • Strong inter-personal communication skills, including the ability to collaborate with other non-Network technical teams and non-technical customers.
