Position Summary:

We are seeking an EDM Machine Operator to manage the operation of hole popper EDM machines. This role is designated for the WEEKEND NIGHT shift, specifically Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM. The position entails 36 hours of work with an additional 4-hour bonus, culminating in a total of 40 hours, and includes a 35% shift differential. Candidates must be available for training during the day shift.

This position serves as an excellent entry point for individuals aspiring to build a career in the manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Change and set up electrodes
  • Utilize micrometers, calipers, indicators, and comparators
  • Interpret blueprints
  • Detect visual defects
  • Employ and verify various fixtures
  • Recognize alarm codes
  • Operate machine start and stop functions
  • Diagnose and rectify machine operational issues
  • Comprehend and adhere to ISO 9001/AS 9100 and Nadcap standards
  • Conduct daily maintenance following a checklist
  • Confirm settings for special process approvals
  • Communicate inquiries and ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Understand and follow work instructions

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred experience with Sinker EDM
  • Machining experience is advantageous
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently
  • Team-oriented
