Job Title: Orthopedic Pre-Op/PACU Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Pre-Op/PACU Nurse to join our team at United Surgical Partners. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, direct, organize, coordinate, and implement all nursing care services for pre-op and post-surgical patients.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, and respiration, and manage pain and nausea.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge patients, and complete ongoing patient assessments and documentation.
  • Participate in the development of patient plans of care, including patient problems, goals, evaluations, and interventions.
  • Report symptoms and significant changes in patients' conditions to appropriate personnel immediately.
  • Assess, collaborate, and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the care team.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Georgia Nursing License.
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op/PACU.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of surgical patients.
  • Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.
  • Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems, and correct errors.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions.
  • Excellent teaching and communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians, and fellow employees.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting.
  • Previous Orthopedic experience.
