Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist at Northshore, you will play a vital role in providing direct physical therapy services to patients. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating patients' physical and functional status, planning and implementing therapeutic programs, and educating patients to engage them in their own care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' physical and functional status to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide direct physical therapy services to patients, including prevention, identification, correction, and alleviation of movement dysfunction.
  • Use excellent communication skills to educate patients and engage them in their own care.
  • Stay updated regarding developments, new techniques, and equipment in the field of physical therapy.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (if graduated before 2002) OR Master of Science or Doctorate in Physical Therapy (if graduated 2015 and after).
  • Current State of Illinois Physical Therapist licensure.
  • Current CPR Certification issued by the American Heart Association BLS provider.
  • A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience with demonstration of clinical independence with inpatient experience, preferred.
