Atrium Health Charlotte is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist to join our critical care team.

Job Summary

As a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing advanced respiratory care to critically ill patients, including those requiring ECMO, Medical Circulatory Devices, and Intra-aortic Balloon Counter Pulsation. You will work closely with our transport team to ensure safe and efficient patient transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient data to inform respiratory care decisions
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans
  • Perform advanced procedures, including intubation, ventilation management, and pharmacological interventions
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of respiratory care
  • Current RT license or temporary license as a registered petitioner
  • RRT required, BSRT preferred
  • Three years clinical respiratory care experience in the Emergency Department and/or Intensive Care Unit
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in advanced procedures and skills bi-annually
