Key Responsibilities
  • Provides excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Greets patients entering the department and directs them to the appropriate personnel
  • Assists with administrative and clinical procedures under the direct supervision of a licensed physician and Office Manager or Team Lead
  • Maintains patient scheduling functions, sets patient appointments, and completes registration processes
  • Performs cashiering functions, keys patient dispositions, diagnostic codes, patient orders, charges, and payments
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 1 year medical assistant experience preferred
  • 2-4 years clerical/customer service experience in a healthcare-related industry
  • Experience with third-party payors and computer systems
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification within 6 months
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at time of hire
