Position Overview:

The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and collaborate closely with the Controller to uphold accounting standards, practices, and procedures, ensuring precise and timely financial reporting.

This role involves providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship aligned with the organization’s and department’s objectives.


Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or 10 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a management role, with a focus on coaching, accountability, culture, and results
  • Preferred experience in non-profit organizations
  • Comprehensive understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including GAAP
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a commitment to achieving results
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to meet objectives
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Proficient in project management, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster relationships across all organizational levels
  • Experience in preparing financial statements
  • Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end closing process
  • Ability to develop and document processes and accounting policies to enhance internal controls
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and accounting software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Ability to analyze extensive data sets
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating an objective perspective
