Job Overview

Pittsburgh-based Jobot is seeking a seasoned Environmental Attorney to spearhead our environmental law practice. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on environmental matters, representing the company in civil litigation cases, and ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on environmental issues, including pollution, waste management, and natural resources.
  • Represent the company in civil litigation cases related to environmental matters and ensure the best possible legal defense.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate environmental agreements and contracts.
  • Ensure company operations and policies are in compliance with all environmental laws and regulations.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of legal issues and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to minimize potential risks and liabilities.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff to ensure efficient and effective legal services.
  • Stay updated on current environmental laws and regulations and inform the relevant departments about any changes that could impact the company.
  • Work with other departments to develop and implement environmental policies and best practices.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Environmental Attorney or a similar role in the legal industry.
  • Proven experience in civil litigation.
  • An active license to practice law in the state.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Passion for environmental conservation and sustainability.
