The Cardiovascular Testing department at WakeMed utilizes state-of-the-art equipment to perform both normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology. Our team of Registered Cardiovascular Sonographers must demonstrate proficiency in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the Cardiovascular system at multiple ambulatory locations. This requires adherence to established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. Additionally, our Registered Cardiovascular Sonographers will understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values, and management of the division of Cardiovascular Services.

1 year of clinical experience in Ultrasound is required.

A Graduate Cardiac Ultrasound and Graduate Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound are required, or an Associate's Degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, or equivalent education and experience.

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, Registered Vascular Technologist, Registered Vascular Specialist, or Registered Cardiac Sonographer is required.

Days, with occasional weekend and evening shifts.
