Job Summary:

The Commercial Roofing Estimator will be responsible for:

  • Preparing estimates for commercial roofing projects in a timely and accurate manner
  • Calculating square footages and geometrical properties of buildings to determine material costs
  • Analyzing job information from field technicians and recommending appropriate design solutions
  • Contacting vendors and manufacturers for current pricing and special requirements
  • Maintaining knowledge of roofing system specifications and requirements
  • Developing knowledge of roofing system specs from major manufacturers and product lines
  • Staying current on industry technology and market trends
  • Preparing subcontractor contract pricing and providing allowances for sub labor
  • Analyzing field sketches to detect errors or missing information
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2-5 years of experience in estimating commercial roofing
  • Commercial roofing field experience preferred
  • Experience with Edge Estimating System version 12
  • General commercial roofing knowledge
  • Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written skills to create clear and concise documentation
