Job Summary

As a Class B CDL Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food products to restaurants and grocery stores in a safe and timely manner. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver food products to restaurants and grocery stores, utilizing a hand truck and ramp as needed.
  • Compare actual merchandise with invoices and obtain customer signatures, collecting payment as necessary.
  • Immediately report any mechanical or operational issues to Operations, customer/product issues to Sales, and invoice/payment issues to Accounting.
  • Maintain accurate records and submit documentation to Operations on a weekly basis.
Requirements
  • Valid Class B CDL driver's license with a safe driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
  • Less than high school education or up to one month of related experience or training.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's, and perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions, and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
